Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to professional financial auditing and related assurance engagements with Cedar Scope Financial Review. Website fee ranges are informational; binding terms appear in your engagement letter.

Eligibility

Refunds relate to fees paid under a signed engagement letter. General website browsing and unpaid inquiries do not create refundable charges.

Timeframe

Cancellation or refund requests should be sent in writing to hello@connectivityrouting.digital as soon as practicable, and no later than fourteen days after the event giving rise to the request unless the engagement letter sets a different window.

Full or partial refunds

If you cancel before planning work begins and before we have incurred third-party confirmation costs, we refund deposits minus a modest administrative charge stated in the letter (typically up to 10% of the deposit, or ¥50,000, whichever is lower).

If planning or fieldwork has started, fees are due for work performed to date at the rates or percentage milestones in the engagement letter. Unused portions of prepaid fees may be refunded on a pro-rata basis after deducting completed stages.

Non-refundable items

Costs already incurred for bank or customer confirmations, travel booked for agreed inventory observation, and external specialist consultations approved by you are non-refundable. Time spent on out-of-scope reconstruction of incomplete schedules is billable and not refundable once delivered.

Refund process

Email a refund request with your engagement reference, reason, and payment details used. We confirm receipt within five business days and outline the calculation.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are processed within twenty-one business days to the original payment method or a Japanese bank account you nominate in writing.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may request to reschedule fieldwork dates subject to team availability. Moves made more than fifteen days before the scheduled start are usually accommodated without fee. Later moves may incur a rescheduling charge to cover reserved staff time.

Deposits

Deposits secure calendar time for statutory audits and larger reviews. Deposits are applied to the final invoice. Forfeiture rules for late cancellation are set out above and in the engagement letter.

No-shows

If key client contacts are unavailable for agreed fieldwork days without at least two business days’ notice, we may charge for reserved days and reset the timetable.

Work already started

Once planning memoranda, sample selections, or on-site testing have begun, fees for those stages remain payable even if you later decide not to proceed to report issuance—unless we terminate for independence or ethical reasons, in which case only work performed is billed.

Exceptions

Mandatory cooling-off rights under Japanese consumer law apply only where you contract as an individual consumer outside business use. Most audit clients are companies; commercial engagement terms then prevail.
